Joe Biden finally sat down for an interview to face questions about his campaign and his son this week when he was featured for a “60 Minutes” interview.
While the interview is being touted as a hard-hitting interview, Biden was continuously let off the hook due to proper follow-up questions.
While putting a good face on his own problems, Biden was not so complimentary of the President, stating, “He’s an idiot, in terms of saying that. Everybody knows this. Everybody knows it. Nobody doubts it.”
When Biden was asked about Trump calling both he and Hunter corrupt, the former vice president responded, “Let’s see how straight you are, OK old buddy?
“I put out 21 years of mine [tax returns].
“So, show us your tax returns … what are you hiding’?
“You want to deal with corruption? Start to act like it. Release your tax returns or shut up.”
Biden also hit Trump on both his daughter and son-in-law working in the White House.
He stated, “My children are not going to sit in on Cabinet meetings. … It’s just simply improper because you should make it clear to the American public that everything you’re doing is for them. For them.
“And the idea that you’re going to have his children his — son-in-law, et cetera, engaged in the day-to-day operation of things they know nothing about.”
Well, Joe, your son is a cokehead, so it is unlikely he would pass the initial screening tests to even work at the White House, but I digress.
The White House also fired back a shot at Biden for that comment, stating, “Hunter Biden would never have an office in the White House because he’s proven that his only qualification is being the son of Joe Biden.”
Still in Denial
Biden still believes he is the frontrunner in this race, even though there have been numerous polls as of late that have Warren pulling away from him.
He also stated that as far as cash goes, his campaign will be fine, even though recent reports say that his campaign is running out of money.
Biden surely feels that way because he knows one of his former aides is firing up a massive SuperPAC to help the Biden campaign get a fresh influx of cash, something he swore off at the beginning of this campaign.
So, sorry Joe, with such desperate measures, we do not believe everything is whipped cream and strawberries in the Biden campaign.
Biden also continued to deny any involvement in his son’s business, other than asking him if he knew what he was doing when he was put on the board of Burisma.
Biden stated, “I hope you know exactly what you’re doing here. That’s all I meant. Nothing more than that, because I’ve never discussed my business or their business, my sons’ or daughter’s.
“And I’ve never discussed them because they know where I have to do my job and that’s it and they have to make their own judgments.”
So it is all just a coincidence that while serving as VP and point man for Ukraine and China, Hunter Biden happened to get on the board of Ukraine energy company and receive a $1.5 billion investment to his equity fund from a Chinese investment banker.
Or, how about the waivers Hunter got to get a direct commission in the Navy for being too old and having a record of drug abuse (or the fact he was kicked out the Navy shortly thereafter for testing positive)…
All of these interviews are softballs being tossed to Biden and I, for one, cannot wait to see him square off directly with Trump on these issues because Trump will hardly let him off the hook as easy as these journalists are.
