If you have ever wondered just how dishonest the mainstream media is and to what lengths it will go hurt this administration, just listen to this…
On Sunday and Monday, ABC News pushed out a video showing a relentless attack on what it portrayed as Turkish forces attacking in Northern Syria.
The footage was being shown as a way to attack Trump for his recent withdrawal of U.S. soldiers from the region.
The network was literally blaming Trump for the offensive and suggesting the lives lost in the footage were the fault of President Trump.
Whoops!
If the footage was real, it would have been a public relations nightmare for Trump.
The only problem, though, was the footage was real only in the fact the shooting was taking place.
Unfortunately, for ABC, this was actually a range exercise in Kentucky, NOT Syria.
The video below is similar to what ABC showed in its footage (taken from the 2015 Knob Creek Night Shooting event):
What is truly amazing here is the fact that nobody questioned the footage, especially considering the backdrop makes it appear that is unlikely a setting you would see in the Middle East.
The reporters, the editors, the producers… nobody questioned the footage simply because it enabled them to portray this administration in a negative light.
When the footage went live, a representative of the gun range immediately noticed the backdrop and thought it was their range.
When the footage was checked, the ABC footage matched up perfectly with several videos from the Kentucky range already floating around on YouTube.
When ABC was contacted about the fake news story, its representative stated, “We’ve taken down video that aired on World News Tonight Sunday and Good Morning America this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy.
“ABC News regrets the error.”
Sorry, ABC, but you don’t get off that easy.
You were literally reporting on an attack that did not happen solely for the purpose of undermining the president of the United States.
This is how ABC anchor Tom Llamas described the video:
“The situation rapidly spiraling out of control in northern Syria. One week since President Trump ordered U.S. forces out of that region, effectively abandoning America’s allies in the fight against [the Islamic State].
“This video right here appearing to show Turkey’s military bombing Kurd civilians in a Syrian border town. The Kurds, who fought alongside the U.S. against ISIS. Now, horrific reports of atrocities committed by Turkish-backed fighters on those very allies.”
Now, I am no Middle East expert, but can someone please explain to me what parts of Syria have lush green trees in such abundance where civilians live?
How did someone, anyone, not even question the location of the video seeing that alone?
We are being lied to on a regular basis by the media, patriots, this story is proof of that.
