The investigations underway into the origins of the Russian collusion have been getting ripped by Democrats since the Durham investigation turned into a criminal investigation.
William Barr, who has been very quiet in the media lately, finally came out to defend the investigation and in the process shred what was left of James Comey’s reputation.
It’s a New FBI
Barr did not use Comey’s name, but it was clear his critique of past leadership in the FBI was aimed right at his doorstep.
Barr stated, “I do want to say that one of the reasons Mr. Durham is able to make the kind of progress he’s making is because Director Wray and his team at the FBI have just been outstanding in support and responsiveness given to Mr. Durham.
“As you know, I’ve said previously that I felt there was a failure of leadership at the bureau in 2016 and part of 2017, but since Director Wray and his team have taken over there’s been a world of change.
“I think that he is restoring the steady professionalism that’s been a hallmark of the FBI. I really appreciate his leadership there.”
Dems Hitting the Panic Button
The moment the investigation being run by U.S. Attorney Durham turned into a criminal investigation Democrats started to turn the narrative.
This is a sign that they are truly worried, so they will continue to try to discredit the investigation as much as possible so the public will not take any indictments that come down seriously.
The two ringleaders for the Democrats in the House right now, Rep. Schiff (D-CA) and Rep. Nadler (D-N.Y.), were the first to try to spin this negatively.
In a joint statement, they said, “These reports, if true, raise profound new concerns that the Department of Justice under AG Barr has lost its independence and become a vehicle for President Trump’s political revenge.
“If the Department of Justice may be used as a tool of political retribution, or to help the President with a political narrative for the next election, the rule of law will suffer new and irreparable damage.”
Now, to be clear, when Mueller issued indictments, it showed criminal behavior but Durham issuing an indictment is now the weaponizing of the Justice Department… does that really make sense to anyone?
Rep. Schiff also went on TV this weekend to tell the entire country he would not honor the outcome of this investigation because he believes it to be illegitimate.
That sure sounds an awful lot like some of the words Trump used about the Mueller investigation and Democrats were pretty vocal in ripping Trump for making such statements.
If you ask me, it sure sounds a lot like Democrats know some big, dark secret is about to be exposed and they are doing as much damage control as possible before the news breaks.
The louder they cry, the more Americans are going to realize how corrupt, scandalous, and dishonest this new Democrat party really is.
