Well, AOC finally said it…
“In any other country, Joe Biden and I would not be in the same party, but in America, we are.”
Taking the Dems FAR Left
The new generation of Democrat is unlike anything we have ever seen before in this country.
If they were here 50 years ago, Hoover would have had them all locked up as communists.
What people like AOC represent is not progressive, it is socialism, and it is everything our Founding Fathers fought so hard to get away from.
It’s sad, really, that so many young people are buying into what they are selling.
What is even worse is that there is no middle ground for people like AOC.
She does not even want to listen to what a moderate progressive has to say or even consider their interests.
As far as she is concerned, it is all or nothing.
She stated, “For so long, when I first got in, people were like, ‘Oh, are you going to basically be a Tea Party of the left?’
“And what people don’t realize is that there is a Tea Party of the left, but it’s on the right edges, the most conservative parts of the Democratic Party.
“So the Democratic Party has a role to play in this problem, and it’s like we’re not allowed to talk about it.
“We’re not allowed to talk about anything wrong the Democratic Party does.”
She later added, “They let anybody who the cat dragged in call themselves a progressive.
“There’s no standard.”
For now, AOC is the darling of this new movement that has been energized by the candidacy of Bernie Sanders.
However, her stubbornness and confrontational attitude is something that the powers within the party are starting to notice.
An unnamed House aide recently stated, “This is how it works here: You negotiate a concession in exchange for a vote.
“But you have to have the votes and you have to be willing to negotiate.
“She [AOC] says she is an organizer, but you have to be willing to organize in the caucus as well as outside it.”
The fact of the matter is our government is built on making concessions.
Nobody is going to get 100 percent of what they want, which is the purpose of our system.
It is meant to represent all of America, not just one small minority faction that wants to change the overall ideology.
Rep. Meeks (D-N.Y.) made a very observant statement that is extremely relevant to AOC and her future as a politician in this country.
He stated, “You have to learn quickly; otherwise, you will be in the minority and you will be as relevant as that windowpane.
“Do you want to be able to just talk a lot or do you want to be able to do something?”
Right now, it would seem that AOC is interested in just a lot of talk because she has accomplished nothing in her first two years in office.
She may get by for one or two terms doing that, but eventually, unless she learns how to play ball, she will be nothing more than a shooting star in our political scene. Here for a second, then gone.
